Prohibited/Permitted Items/Carry-on or Checked baggage

Go to:

>http:www.tsa.gov

Search for the list of "Permitted & Prohibited Items".

I am going to call them about the workable fixative spray and let you know.

35 MM film- carry on plane- may need to take out at security to not damage film.

Got my Passport TODAY (got mail after party!). Feb. 14- April 20.

Cheers,

BF

Required supplies for JR

Guys, sorry for reminding you of this so late in the game, but I think you probably have (or can buy at Wal-mart) all of the following:

MUSTS:
2 glue sticks (I like UHU acid-free, color--it dries clear)
12" ruler
x-acto knife
pencil

IF YOU WANT:
small cutting mat
triangle
decorative papers for covers (might buy some in Italy)

I have a few small items that I will give to you at the b-b-q that you MUST take with you (bonefolder, awl).

See you soon!

Malpensa to Central Station (Milan)

Looks like the bus is around an hour. The train is about 40 minutes but you have to catch a shuttle to the train, so could be closer to an hour? Bus is 4.50 Euros train is 9.00 (I think) plus 1.30 for shuttle. Not a huge difference.

Bus/Van
Bus services leave from outside the Terminal 1 Arrivals area. They serve various destinations in Milan and beyond. Journey times vary.

To Milan Central Station the Malpensa Shuttle departs every twenty minutes from 06.20 to 00.15. Journey time is around an hour.

* Fare: EUR 4.50.

Train
There are also rail links from Malpensa airport to Milan Central and Milan Garibaldi Stations via Gallarate. A local shuttle bus connects the airport with Gallarate Rail Station every hour.

* Shuttle bus fare: From Terminal 1 EUR 1.30, Terminal 2 EUR 1.05.

To Milan Central trains depart Gallarate from 05.54 until 23.24.

Kinda crummy news

Guys, it looks like each of you will have to pay a deposit of 160 Euros when we check in. The good news is that it is a deposit so as long as you don't loose your keys or cell phones or damage anything, you will get all but 18 Euros back. The 18 is for the internet access. Wireless is available 24/7 in the studio for those of you who plan to bring your laptops.

As far as having the money for check-in, you could probably just withdraw the cash when you arrive in Vicenza or Milan.

Vicenzapalooza This Friday: Reply to come!

CAAD Italy pilgrims,

The Grand Tour starts this Friday (4-20) at 1112 East Lee Blvd. from 6 to 8 PM. I need to hear from you;
11/17 have replied back. THANKS!

bfunderburk@caad.msstate.edu

That's a grey/green bungalow on East Lee Boulevard across from the Church of Christ, between the University and the Highway Patrol Station on Hwy 182 (82). Park on the street.

FOOD WITH YOUR NAME ON IT WILL BE GRILLED.
Drinks, peripheral foods, joviality will ensue.

Former Italytrippers Dr. Angi Bourgeois and Professor Jeffrey Haupt will recount Vicenzadventures, around
the burning '06 Christmas tree, in the eve's charcoal scented afterglow. Remember when money and gifts were given out at the last meeting? Who knows...

Peace,

BF/JR

Ear Plugs

Hey guys, just thinking, it might be a good idea to bring some earplugs with you. You never know if your roomies will be snorers (is that a word?). Also, I don't have ticket /insurance/passport/drug info from too many folks. See you on the 20th!
